We first bought seeds for Radiator Charlie’s Mortgage Lifter tomatoes strictly because the name was fascinating, and discovering the story about the original Radiator Charlie (and how he was able to pay off the mortgage on his house with his tomatoes and tomato seedlings) just made it more awesome. And then we discovered that these tomatoes were a reliable producer of early maturing, pinkish-red, lovely hefty fruits. Not too acidic, but still great for saucing and salsa, these are also good for fresh eating.
